Lodhi Colony - Street Art, History & A Garden
Lodi Colony and the adjacent Lodi Garden wear their legacy lightly. Together they tell us what is quintessentially Delhi -- a beautiful amalgam of the old and the new, the medieval and the modern. HopOn India’s walk of this area will take you through a lovely corner of New Delhi. First we will walk through the part of the government housing colony of Lodi Colony which is now known as the Lodi Art District, its walls embellished with artworks by some of the best known street artists in the world. We will then walk to the Lodi Garden which has more than a hundred species of trees but its highlight remains the monuments from Delhi’s Sultanate period. Our walk will take you through a small section of the Art District. This is a free tour bought to you courtesy Asian Paints Limited.
