One of the 4 men responsible for this historic dialogue is Kamal Amrohi. Syed Amir Haider Kamal Naqvi, popularly known as Kamal Amrohi was an Indian film director and screenwriter, known for his Hindi films such as Mahal (1949), Pakeezah (1972) and Razia Sultan (1983). He established Kamal Pictures (Mahal Films) in 1953 and Kamal Amrohi Studios a.k.a Kamalistan Studio in Bombay in 1958. Spread over 15 acres, Kamal Amrohi Studios is located in Jogeshwari East, off Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) in Mumbai. Over the years, films like Razia Sultan (1983) – Kamal Amrohi's last film as a director, Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Kaalia (1981), Khalnayak (1993), Koyla (1997), and recently Dabangg 2 (2012) among many others have been shot here. Apart from films, television shows are also shot at the complex.
